How It Works
Step 2
Wait for Selection
You will get confirmation that your application was received. Applications will be reviewed in the order they are received on a rolling basis. Sites will be selected based on meeting program eligibility and on energy-saving complexity and potential. The program team will be in contact with applicants within 10 business days. If the application is rejected or otherwise deemed incomplete, we will follow up with the provided contract information.
If you have an obligation with PA DEP (Department of Environmental Protection) or other state agency, a representative of DEP will be in contact with you regarding resolving those obligations prior to assessment scheduling.
Step 3
Schedule the Site Assessment
A member of the program team will contact you to schedule a site assessment. At this time, we will explain the assessment process, review cost-share details, and answer any questions you may have regarding the program.
Step 4
Participate in the On-Site Assessment
The program team will adhere to all facility safety protocols, starting with required safety trainings. Once oriented, the program team will discuss general areas or systems of interest including acceptable payback periods. You will walk the team through the facility, showing them the production process from start to finish. Then there will be a debrief discussion about the areas of opportunity for energy savings. The program team will collect any additional data needed for analysis and answer any final questions you have.
Step 5
Receive the Site Assessment Report
After the on-site assessment, the program team will develop a customized site action plan and send you an assessment report within two months of the assessment. Failure to provide requested data (utility bills, etc.) before or during the assessment will result in the contractor withholding a site assessment report, as required by PA DEP.
